About us
What to Plant? is a gardening guide that tells you what to sow, plant and harvest right now — no fluff, tailored to our climate.
🌿 What you'll find here
This site grew out of a simple frustration: when you want to know whether there is still time to plant tomatoes, you don't want to read a three-page article. That's why we build everything around the seasonal calendar — for each of our 64 plants you can see, month by month, when to start seeds, plant out, care and harvest.
On top of that we offer a personal sowing plan, a weather forecast for gardeners, monthly guides, gardening proverbs and a blog. Registered users receive e-mail alerts for frost, heat and drought in their location.
We run the site in eight languages — Czech, English, German, Polish, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.
✍️ How our content is created
We compile our growing calendars and guides from time-tested gardening practice and reliable horticultural sources, and we keep them continually up to date — the dates are geared to the Central European climate. Weather data comes from the open project Open-Meteo.
